The Tower of Penance is one of the most perilous locations in Lords of the Fallen, housing a vital beacon that players must cleanse. Navigating this vertical labyrinth requires careful platforming, managing Umbral realm transitions, and overcoming intense enemy encounters. Mastering this area ensures significant progress toward completing your primary quest in Mournstead.

Approaching the Tower and Defeating Sanisho

Before entering the structure, players must cross the bridge leading from the Manse of the Hallowed Brothers. Here, you encounter Blessed Carrion Knight Sanisho guarding the entrance. Defeating this boss unlocks access to the main threshold and clears the path into the tower itself.

After overcoming Sanisho, search the outer ring for key items like the Braided Ring and the local area map. It is wise to rest or prepare your inventory before stepping inside the central spire. Proper preparation reduces the risk of losing valuable Vigor during vertical falls.

Descending Through the Spire Platforms

Inside the Tower of Penance, progression heavily relies on dropping down wooden planks, ladders, and caged platforms.
